What class can you not bring yourself to play?

HARP Harpers don't have that. They have spells like wizards, and have artistic and roguish skills which they can choose from. It's really quite flexible. No silly musical magical effects in that system.
Okay, see now there's a "Bard" that might be halfway tolerable for me. But then, of course, it's not really a Bard at all anymore and that makes the pill even easier to swallow...

I place my hatred of druids just a little less than my hatred of elves.
Any other class; possibly. Any other race; possibly.

But an elf or a druid. Never ever.

LOL

It is very entertaining though. Just depends on how you play them. My brother's favorite class is bard and as a player he actually sings his songs:

Ain't...she...sweet. (dada dada dadada)
See here walking down the street (dada dada dadada)
I ask you very...confidentially;
Ain't...she...sweet.

Ahem, my favorite class is Cleric; my least favorite is Ranger.

While I'll play any class, I can't/won't play Evil...

I'll even play a bard, but I've found it to be a pretty weak class. Effective given the proper party support...

Oh my god. You will never catch me playing a bard. In fact, I hate them so much they don't exist in my home brew.

Yes. This is a good time for this

"How Bards Are Really Played"

Not terribly fond of Bards. They exsist in my world but are defiantely a 'non-adventuring' type of class (I put them on the same level as Adepts or Experts). I have never played any of the following core classes

Druid
Monk
Bard

And I really haven't a desire to. I find the 'baggage' that comes with these classes to be too much.

Uh what? Bards have to make music or sing poetics to use bardic music, not dance. I'd think something like the Bhagavad Gita or some other holy book in verse would be pretty nifty to sing: "Big Hero So-And-So smote his enemies with his flaming bow" ...and now I do that to you?

Druid: Too crunchy-granola for my taste and I don't like a class that loses power outside its preferred setting.

What preferred setting? Nature? Entangle doesn't work without grass/etc. but what other spell is limited?

As for me, I could make a character of any PHB class probably. Not a Core monk, but a different, more magical or more western monk would work--see the "less Oriental Monk" thread for what I'm talking about.

I will probably never play a monk, unless I'n RPing in Rokugan. The only exception would be if the DM let me play the Wild Monk variant that is presented in Dragon #234.

Monk. I want to play one. I do. Really. But I can't bring myself to do it. They just aren't good enough at anything to make me want to play one. Well rounded, sure, but no good points. MAD makes me cry too. I'll also never play a straight fighter. Sooo boring. Swashbuckler yes. Ranger yes. Paladin yes. Barbarian hell yes. But fighter? Good god no, unless you mean just a 2 level dip in a ranger/barbarian build to get the feats to qualify for tempest.

Most of them, from what I remember. For example:
Detect snares and pits, endure elements (mostly useful for crossing a desert or a frozen wasteland, unless the dungeon is particularly warm or cold), goodberry (unless you can find berries in a dungeon), tree shape (it'd look odd to see a tree standing in the middle of a hall), call lightning, plant growth, liveoak, and plenty of others, including loads of spells that target animals (which are usually found in the wild).

I kinda like bards because of how versatile they are. But, while they are moderately skilled in many areas (decent skill points, medium attack, some spells), they aren't actually good at anything in particular besides being a total support character. I usually play a Cleric, Wizard, or Paladin over anything else, although I'm growing in interest toward the Sorcerer (I like the concept of spontaneous spellcasting (or rather, I hate Vancian spellcasting)).
