90% of mine are painted either regular dark orange or dark reddish-orange. I figure this color works well for creatures that spend part of their lifes underground where red/orange is very hard to see in the dark.

Some are of a greenish gray color to represent freaks or cross-breeds.

I make small differentiations in my campaigns for goblins, hobgoblins and orcs. All three interbreed and produce offspring wo grow to be between 4 and 7 feet tall.

All of these critters are the result of centuries of breeding experiments and transmutation spells crafted by a certain league of wizards who sought to create a race for their empire to fear. The creatures everyone feared would unite the empire in a great war that (hopefully) would leave the League of Wizards in charge. They created many "alter" crossbreeds of men, elves, beasts and outsiders. After 300 years they kept three strains of creatures: goblins, orcs and hobgoblins. Then everything went to hell, and they lost the war. Who woulda guessed?

By the way, many of the runty goblins I use are old ral partha (I think) orcs which had little clothing, sometimes a scrap of armor, and usually a weapon and round shield. Also, they were anatomically correct males. That was a very weird thing to discover as I painted that pack of beasties.

In more recent times my orcs and such are almost all from Reaper.

Other - goblin skin color varies by tribe and region:

Common Known World breeds:
Goblinus Occidensis - dirty grey with very short brown hair (mostly found in Western Darokin and the Sind Desert borders)
Goblinus Oriensis - yellow with bluish black hair (Ethengarian nomads)
Goblinus Goblinus - chalky tan skin and rusty-brown hair; skin covered with tatoos/tribal markings (most areas of the Known World and High Gobliny in the Broken Lands)
Goblinus Hyborians - dead white skin with flat-grey, braided hair (Hyboria and most polar regions)

Extra points for anybody that can name the source of these breeds!

And seriously, I do break up the goblinoid race into varying colors baesd on region and tribe...

I voted Other

Goblins IMC are minor Unseelie Fae and often have magic powers

best description Blix from Legend

Sallow yellow is the typical color

When I paint they are green or greenish- grey. WoTC went with brown so I will undoubtable go that route once I paint up some more goblins.

I have a few I'm doing red to be fiendish. They are the Warhammer ones.
