My Warhammer gobs are painted light green. Orcs mostly dark green, though the few I've done brown/flesh/tan tones look much better IMO. Hobgobs earthy brown with a bit of yellow or orange.

There's an awful lot of variance imc; from yellow to red to dark brown to green, and most everything in between. The only blue goblins are psionic, though. :)

My goblins are dependent upon their location of origin. Cold winter goblins are white-blue. Desert goblins are sandy yellow.

Temperate Goblins are green, so it's pretty much standard.

Green.

They aren't called greenies for nothing.
I would like to know a good reason (i.e.: in terms of fantasy biology that is) for having goblinoids of green color. Do they came from the forests where this colr gave them a natural camouflage?

In any case, I tend to see goblinoids be gray-green. You know, not a nice bright green, but a dirty and disgusting greenish-grayish color.

The way I paint them, goblins are usually yellowish in color. There has been a strain of reddish goblins, which tend to be larger and smarter (no actual stat changes), which may be a missing link between goblins and hobgoblins (a term that comes from robin-goblin). Of note is the fact that blue is the goblinoids' color for mystical power. Psionic goblins are all-blue, and arcane and psionic hobgoblins have patches of blue skin and fur.

Hobgoblins hold blue dragons in highest regard, and hibgiblin clans that live close to a blue dragon for a few generations eventually see the birth of a half-blue dragon/half-hobgoblin (complete with a massive horn in its forehead), which is treated like some child of prophecy and grow to lead the clans in some military endeavour.

Mine are yellowish or orangeish. Not bright yellow or orange, but more like chinese or native american skin tones.

Absolutely not green! They are not, as opposed to the original GW orcs & goblins, sculpted in greenstuff!
