What "condition" would INTOXICATED be?

Moderate inxotication? Could just be a special condition, like "-2 to attack rolls."
Being "Marked" by the booze would do this nicely.

Light intoxication, leaving the character mildly impaired, should be a small penalty, possibly to multiple stats.

Say, -2 attacks = Tipsy
-2 attacks and -2 defenses = Sodden
-2 attacks, -2 defenses, and Dazed = Inebriated
Unconscious = Hammered
 

You know, I was thinking it might be interesting to use the disease mechanics instead. And have each drink you take, or each hour that passes, force the endurance check. Then you have a starting state, "Buzzed" and a final state of "passed out"

This. An intoxicated "disease" would work perfectly. The disease track system models all sorts of things fantastically. :)
