What did you do during the server upgrade?

I noticed more than a few of you mentioned bunkering down inside from the freeze?

Well, I have to admit, I didn't realise there was a sever-upgrade downtime. I spent the weekend bushwalking through rainforest and photographing waterfalls in glorious sunshine. The sun was starting to set as we drove down the dirt road out of one location, when suddenly, we saw a kangaroo on the side of the track, not 100 metres ahead of us. Fortunately we were already driving slowly due to the rough road, as it made a few hops across our path, right in front of the car, and disappeared into the fern trees on the other side of the track. Fortunate, because hitting a kangaroo at full speed on the open road can really mess your vehicle (not to mention the 'roo). Admittedly, it was the first time I've ever seen a kangaroo so close while driving. Occasionally, you get to see some off in the distance in a paddock somewhere, or at a nature reserve. But that was pretty special! Just wanted to share that moment with someone ;)

I spent the entire time at a sci-fi convention (not a bad place to be caught in a blizzard). Didn't even notice an interruption.

You mean besides weep softly in the corner?

Well, I gamed <--Makes sense, right? Made 1 batch of good Snickerdoodles, made 1 burnt batch of Snickerdoodles. Listened to the other gamers complain about the aforementioned burnt batch. Sniffled a little when the DM killed a really cool NPC.

And put off writing a paper over The Saga of the Volsungs (which I am still procrastinating on.)

Went out in the snow Saturday, saw House of Flying Daggers with friends, sang at a bar, played X-box Ghost Recon, a few poor virtual souls bit my virtual sniper bullet...I lived through the pain..:)
