What do people play more of nowadays?

What game do you play most/have the most interest in?

  • Poll closed .
Other - a 4e campaign and a 3.5/Pathfinder* campaign - both weeklyish.

* It's 3.5, but has been heavily house-ruled with many of the house rules inspired and/or stolen from Pathfinder. When this one ends and we start a new one, I expect us to go full Pathfinder.

Can't really vote in the poll as I am consistently playing D&D 4E, D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and a few other things about equally.

The poll ought to be multi-option instead of single option.

Warhammer 2E --- there has been nothing else from the time it came out. Great setting, very good system (minor house rules), undead, skaven and vampires!

Love, love, love 4E. I'm only DMing Encounters right now. I am working on an epic-level campaign to start this fall.

Our regular group is playing the new Warhammer, and really enjoying it. The wacky dice pool with non-numeric dice is taking some getting used to.

Not sure what the poll is trying to figure out. None of teh info on this site really can be much of an indicator of anything but whims of certain members at certain times. If you look at "viewing: forum stats, generally the 4E Forums have noticibly more viewers than the 3E/Pathfinder forums but the general is usually the biggest.

I generally play 4E exclusively these days but am toying with the idea of dusting off some 2E.

I voted 3.5, but in actuality, its 3.5 with 3.5 derivatives mined for good ideas, which I usually call 3.X in the aggregate.

Essentially, I treat the 3.5 derivatives as a source of alternative rules.

Why I was thinking of doing a very similar pole just today. (Though I would have had it be multichoice, focus on actual play, and have a few more choices).

Its about an even split, but as Hershel points out, there might be something of a bias as the 4E forums seem to have more visitors (who don't hang here much).

I do think it confirms the obvious point that RPGerdom is pretty divided right now. But I also think this is the norm of the last 25 or so years. The abnormal was the way that people rallied around 3E and d20, leading to this website and many other nice things.

But it couldn't last. (I voted 4e).

I was looking through a shadowrun sourcebook the other day for the newest edition.... I found myself really missing the "comments" at the bottom of the page. I used to love reading them.

Whomever came up with that was really a futuremancer indeed.

I recommend picking up Seattle 2072 if you liked the first Seattle book for 1e. I found myself laughing at things like there were nagas in the basement after all!
