What do the walls of am finite demi-plane look like?

Assuming that the adventurers are in a demi-plane that is of a finite size. For the sake of convenience let's assume that it's a circle with a diameter of 5000km. If the adventurer's reached the outer-most point of it, what would they find? Would there be some kind of visible, physical wall? Would it bring them to the other side of the plane? How would you handle this?

Off the top of my head, I'd probably describe them as misty walls reaching towards the sky, or perhaps the ground would simply fade away ahead of the PCs, and there would be an invisible physical barrier. It would probably vary depending on the nature of the demiplane.

It depends.
There could be impassable mountains or just an unbreachable wall.
You could be walking into some kind of mist where you can't see.
Maybe it is an infinite wilderness, and even if you're far out in this wilderness a short way back there's the plane again.
You can also connect the plane's borders as you suggested.
It could be some irresistible force that pushes against you when trying to reach the border.
Perhaps it's just Sky all around (or Darkness).
And maybe it's just 'nothing' after the border as if you're gone blind when looking there.

In my mind I've always pictured the edge of a demi-plane as simply being a solid wall of grey, curved enougth that you can see it reaching up covering the top edge of the demiplane as well.

Personally, I'd treat such demiplanes as being like small planetary bodies, so that if the characters walked far enough, they'd be right back where they began. Of course, I think the nature of the individual demiplane should be taken into account also. If it seems to fit with the "theme" of the demiplane, tangible borders would also work - vertical (or nearly so) mountains, supernaturally strong winds, forests that become impassably thick, etc.

Depends on the plane. Some could just be pockets of air space inside a solid universe. Others could be flat disks with edges looming over the ethereal sea, yet others could be surrounded by eternal mist (i.e. Ravenloft). Whatever fits the concept of the plane.

As you reach the edge, the landscape slowly disappears and gives way to a flat white landscape that reaches forever, marked only with thin blue lines

I would go with the Truman show idea....the walls look like they continue forever, but when you get to the edge you bump into this invisible looking wall.
