What do we know about Eldritch Knights so far?

I am thinking of playing an Eldritch Knight when D&D 3.5 hits the stores. So far, this is all I have found about Eldritch Knights:

Eldritch Knight: Studying the martial and arcane arts to equal degree, the eldritch knight is a versatile combatant who can cast a fireball on his foes or charge them with sword drawn. The eldritch knight takes pride in his ability to use the right technique for the job: spells against physically tough foes and force of arms against spellcasting enemies.

If you can add any OFFICIAL information about this prestige class, please post it.

As far as prepping to enter the class, take a level of bbn, ftr, pal, or rgr, then start taking levels of arcane spellcaster. Prereqs are designed for Ftr (or other martial-weapon class) 1/Wiz5 (or Sor6 or Brd7).
