I'm pretty sure it's illegal here to sell somebody something different to the thing they think they're buying. They don't ask because they're being conscientious, they do so because they have to.
Interesting. I think we must still have a bit of the old "buyer beware".

As a tiny businessman, I much prefer your version. I think it's plain better for business (long term) to let your customer know exactly what they're going to get (within obvious reason) and let them decide. It seems to work to build loyalty and repeat customers, which I would think is what you want. So much of business frustrates me because it seems like so much of it is designed to trick people into buying something that they probably don't want. It seems easier (and more likely to be successful) to me to simply make and provide only things that they DO want, or at least that they ought to want.

I know based on the practices of ENPublishing that you are similar.

If that's not true, then the History Channel done did be lying to me...

And "band-aids" (what you would call, I think, a plaster).

On the subject, I wouldn't call that a coke unless it was a coke, though most restaurants near me will call it a coke, even if it's a pepsi. I'll call the group of carbonated sugar-drinks "pop" - but I don't like pop, so I don't have to say it very often.
I can understand using "coke" as a synonym for "cola" – including Pepsi, RC Cola, Jolt, or whatever. I mean, it's not right, but whatever. But I can't deal with how some locations use it as a synonym for soft/fizzy drinks of whatever kind, as in considering a Sprite a "coke". Though my understanding is that this is mostly in the Atlanta/Georgia area?
