since the birth of my son, they're all at my house. Before that, though, it was either a milk crate if I was DMing or a backpack if I was playing.

42" long dufflebag (with wheels, thank god).

If there's any better to transport a thousand or so plastic minis, I'm all ears...

Dude, avoid the witch wheels AT ANY COST!!! Using them too often will turn you into a six-foot pillar of nothing but ears! ;)

I use a cheap American Tourister shoulder bag when I am playing in a game. Has enough room for several books, Dice and pens/pencils and anything else I think i need. When I run a game off site(away from home) I usually use that bag but may have to bring either a used Paper Box or an additional shoulder bag or backpack. The second bag is usually for extra books, terrain, or minis. I also bring a document tube for my battle mats.

I find its much easier to keep a bag designated as "Game Bag" versus having to scrounge up a backpack or shoulder bag everythime I go play.

When I play I use a heavy canvas backpack. I can put a 1" think folder with my characters and upto 6 books. When I DM I need the backpack and a dufflebag (that's with me bringing the books I know the others don't have).

It depends upon what I'm playing and where I'm playing it.

I tend to host a lot, so that usually eliminates the issue.

When I'm not hosting, I generally use a particular green backpack.

However, in recent months, I've been helping our DM with minis & such, so I have a rolling suitcase that I've been using, and an expanding modular tube for the megamat.

On the flipside- had I not been expecting to share some of my books, I would have appeared at the Dallas Gameday with just my mini, my dice, and my PDA with my PC file on it...maybe a PHB or 2.

Normally, the games are at my house, so I do not have to carry my things in anything other than my hands. If I do go to a game outside my house, I usually use a messanger bag, complete with a custome logo and the phrase "Ancient Gamer and Curmudgeon" on it. My roommates got it for me from Cafepress, and now we sell them. :)
