I agree with this. I've looked at plenty campaign settings and have even purchased a couple because they have plenty of neat ideas I am interesting in adding to my own. As more of my world is created and I have the basics down and going through the more fine details, I will probably be looking at these less.
I don't particularly care too much about adventures as a whole cause I rarely use them as written anyway.
As for other stuff, it depends on how much of it I will actually use. I haven't bought many WOTC books because I find I won't use enough of them to make it worth it. Most of my purchases are the tiny .pdf books which detail half a dozen classes or something of that vein.
