What do YOU do when you are done with a publishing project?

First Post
Well, I just finished my first publishable project, and I have settled down for a momentary rest.

I'm not going to blurb it yet, but it was 68 pages long, and I did all of the writing and layout myself.

It took four months and nine days, and I can think of nothing today but that it is DONE.

I'm so slap-happy happy!

So how do you guys feel when your project goes gold/gets put to bed/insert phrase here...

When I finish a project, I go on a week long binge of sin and decadence that rivals what brought about the destruction of Sodom, Gamorrah AND Babylon!

But seriously, since I am serious about my publishing efforts, I actually keep a list of products I'd like to do. I'll kick back, relax, do a dinner party feast to celebrate (sometimes for a party of one, sometimes for a dozen), then figure out which product or products I want to work on next.

Right now, I've got 5 lbs of angus porterhouse steaks waiting for me to hurry up and finish one of my latest 4 projects...

I feel great for a whole half hour or so... and then get back to work on the next one.

I run back to my desk, tell myself that if I work hard I might get another thousand words done by dinner time, realize I'm already done, and go "D'oh!"

After I finished my last project right at deadline and sent it to the publisher for editing, I went to bed to try to get 2 hours of sleep before getting up to be at my "day job" the next morning at 9am.

Are most of you people posting on this thread full-time writers? If not, when do you find the time to do your writing? When I get home after my advertising job, I'm so tired that I usually fall asleep before I get started writing.
