I'm a school librarian and I'm about in the middle of your poll. Wife is an administrative assistant and earns similar. Both of us have degrees.

I'm a librarian in a public city library. I have a Master's. I earn a decent wage, but not more than a good teacher. My husband sells paint for a living... okay wages, but not what I make. He never finished college.

Others in our group; a library technician (cataloger) and a college student majoring in accounting. We've had a groundskeeper, a city-employed street repair worker (retired on disability), a housewife, a gamestore owner, a construction worker, and many library employees in our games over the years.

I'm the Assistant Editor at a small-ish press in Annapolis, MD. We focus mainly on military history and military professional books. It's my dream job.

In fact, I may be the only history major I know that actually uses her degree to make a living.

As for salary, that's between the husband and I.

I studied computer science and are now working as a software developer for an European photo finisher, writing end-consumer applications. And my 2-year contract was extended to a permanent contract (with a small pay rise).

The job is good, though I am now in a "transitional" phase - my current project might slowly be phased out, and it has yet to be decided what exactly my next tasks will be (but it's clear they want to keep me, which is great. :) )

I suppose I could earn more money if I switched employers, but, well, I am not really eager to do so. I suspect a different job might grant me more pay, but also considerably more work and stress, and I am not really a fan of that...

I'm in computer security for a mid-sized insurance company. I started about eight years ago in IT a help desk, worked my way up to network administrator, then shifted companies and got into the security side.

I do have a B.A. in an unrelated field.

eBusiness Analyst for an industrial distribution company.

Sounds way cooler than it is. To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing half the time. Maybe more than half.

Going back to school soon for some more IT, some marketing, and some financial courses...all to become a Personal Manager out in Hollywood.

Lofty goal, eh?
