What do you think of the Eberron-specific races?

Shifters: I like 'em, but that may be the W:TA fan in me coming to the fore again. Their feat dependency is frustrating though.

Changelings: VERY cool. Very very cool. There's almost no limit to what you can pull off with these guys.

Warforged: The best example ever of an LA +0.9999999 race. They're great fun though, and I fell completely in love with them after running Steel Shadows from Dungeon. Great adventure, and my PCs adore Dandy and Copper.

Tok'Ra Kalashtar: I like them too, especially after reading their chapter in RoE. Doesn't change the fact that they're Tok'Ra though.

Changelings: I recently had a player who played a changeling Rogue/Cabinet Trickster and he really got use his disguises when he was infiltrating Rekkenmark's military academy. I think it's nice to have a race that isn't a full-grown doppelganger but can still put up convincing disguises with a little help from innate abilities. I think they're a great race with a lot of potential.
Daelkyr Half-Bloods (Magic of Eberron): I haven't read through Magic of Eberron thorougly yet, but so far I like the half-bloods. There's a lot of character- and background-building potential with these guys. Mechanically, I'd say they aren't that great, but they're still reasonable. Being an aberration can have its advantages.
Kalashtar: The kalashtar didn't strike a chord with me in the beginning, but I've really got to like them. They have a very interesting background and their constant shadow war with The Dreaming Dark could make for some interesting adventures and encounters. Aditionally, I think it's a good way to introduce psionics to Eberron.
Shifters: Watered-down lycanthropes as others have said and I agree. On the surface they seem cool, but I don't think their background is very convincing and game mechanically they aren't very sound. Still, I think they got a serious boost with Races of Eberron, but they stay pretty weak in my mind.
Warforged: I think they're a great addition to the roster of playable races. Sure they're pretty powerful, but they can still be taken down like all other creatures. They have an interesting background, but the whole living construct subtype thing seems a little far out.

Overall, I like the races of Eberron and I'm looking forward to learning more about them and the cool world they inhabit.

Love 'em. I'm currently playing a changeling rogue/swashbuckler in a non-Eberron campaign at the moment, even. My last character before that was a shifter ranger/barbarian.

Can't stand Shifters. Sorry, a feat-sink ability that lets get claws once or twice a day is just not something I care for. They have some nice classes attached to them, but even Reachrunner and Weretouched Master aren't enough to pull me in.

Changelings aren't bad. I'm a bit worried by their Minor Change Self ability, since they seem to be described as doing a lot more with it than I think makes sense.

Kalashtar are...okay. Nothing really exciting about them.

I *like* warforged. That's only partly because I can make all sorts of robot/Transformers jokes about them; the rest is just because I think they're cool as heck. They have crappy stats, but the other parts make up for it. If my Eberron dwarf buys it, I'm playing a warforged of some type.

I so agree with you on this. In fact, I am trying to adapt the Inspired (Go'oauld) and Kalashtar (Tok'ra) to my world using the Elan as Jaffa.

One of the PCs in my campaign is a shifter with the Beasthide trait, and he seems pretty powerful. Getting a pair of claws might not be all that useful, but +2 natural armor (+4 with the beasthide elite feat) is pretty nice.
