What do you think of these dice?

These are some multi-purpose dice I designed. There are standard 1-6 numbers, a success/failure indicator (for games like Burning Wheel), FATE/FUDGE results, and hit locations. I'm also designing a game called Red Mists that uses them. Sometime soon I'm going to put them up on Kickstarter.

Hope you like them!

Yeah, me too. I'm not a fan of dice with many functions. It's easier for me to map a die result to some result in my head than to look for those symbols on each die.

Yep, I like them too.

But... I'm afraid I would never use these. I like my d6's old-school, with pips not numbers, never mind other designs. Sorry.

I'd use these for sure. Great design. These are nothing compared to some dice I've seen in board games.

I really like the hit location aspect of these.

More games would be better if they used customized dice.

Cool! My hope is that people will use these dice to create new and interesting games & mechanics.

I think they are interesting. I have a few questions about them, since I am thinking about them from a FFG Star Wars Narrative Dice mode.

Are all of the die the same, or are each of the colors tuned to different odds or represent differing difficulties, which would be interesting and give a bit more flexibility and breadth to the game you are working on? Like the green die being simple and non-dangerous tasks, blue die would be moderate difficulty tasks or with some danger, red die being difficult and potentially lethal tasks?

It would seem that body should occur more than any of the extremties just purely out of surface area available. Is that reflected or is what you show there what you get?

Just some thoughts. Good luck!

Wow, those are some really interesting ideas! They are all the same; I honestly hadn't though of making them different. Now you've got my mind wheeling… I'm totally open to suggestions!

Regarding body, I'm not sure how i could make it appear more often, other than maybe making the limb locations just say "leg" and "arm" as opposed to "left leg", "right leg" etc.
