although the Wild Mage paragon path is really cool, it's a bad path powerwise.
So our gaming group tried do change it into a strong, yet balanced paragon path to let one of our players play a wild mage without feeling weak.
What do you think about the changes?
Are they cool and fun?
Do you feel the new version is balanced/overpowered/still weak?
Is it too complicated?
Would you like to play it?

The changes we made are:
Chaos Action: Can be used at any time during the turn in which you spend the action point.
Wild Surge: You roll 2d6 and choose either result for the wild surge effect.
Level 16 Feature: Completely new. You have a chance to enter a state in which your crit chance is increased.
The level 11 and 20 spells are new. Both should emphasize the "gambling" character of the Wild Mage.
The level 12 spell is slightly reworded to make clear that the damage die reroll functions for ALL DICE, even extra critical damage dice and so on.
