What does FLGS stand for?

It could also mean:

Foreign (if you leave near another country where it's cheaper)
Funky (that's quite common, actually)
Foul (the comic-book-guy archetype)
Follicular, Flowery, Floundery, Fluorescent, Fine, Fulgurous, Frumious...

One person's "fluff" is another person's "crunch" (and vice versa). ;)

I'll assume that you have a different definition of fluff and crunch than a lot of us do...fluff is the yummy background information that game designers put in their books. Crunch is the hard stats and rules. Basically, the SRD is the books without all the fluff, if that helps. All crunch.

I disagree... how is a numerical bonus fluff?

Is alignment in D&D fluff or crunch?

Is the arcane/divine divide in D&D fluff or crunch?

Is the spell-slot system (as opposed to, say, a point-based system) in D&D fluff or crunch?

All these *unique* rules aspects in D&D contribute to a mood. They directly effect how the world *looks*. Sure, people can change 'em, but if they don't, are they fluff or crunch?

Sometimes all the "yummy" story stuff is fused into the game mechanics to better reflect and emphasise that "yummy" story stuff. Is this then fluff or crunch?

I'm not too sure on where you draw the line between fluff and crunch either. Can someone help me out? :confused:

FLGS= Forgotten Lealms Gampaign Setting

:lol: Awesome.

In other news, I'd like to know what "in the RAW" stands for, as in rules-wise... I know what it means in context but is it an abbreviation? Arguably it works just as a lowercase word.
