What end of the candycane do you start on first?

First I have to get it back from the cats, but then I usually start from the hook side.

I start from teh straight end. I end up with a very pointy candy cane.

I start with the straight end, which I inevitably sharpen to a razor sharp point.

I've never thought of it like this. I always start with the pointy end. I *rarely* eat anything this sweet though. Next time I'm going to get inventive.

I'm drinking hot chocolate. Then I break the "hooked" end off and put it into the drink where it disolves and makes it peppermint flavored....

I eat the straight end first because the hook makes a nice handle. I'm usually not patient enough to "sharpen" it.
