Like I said earlier, Kenzer caters to their fans 100%

orclicker wrote part of the Villian Design handbook (Good job on that, BTW). IIRC, there is a Ring of Otter Control in there. That was (I hope) solely put in as an inside joke for the boardreaders at the kenzer site [shameless plug]www.kenzerco.com [/shameless plug]. There's a guy running around ranting about undead feral were-otters, and kenzer obliges him. The actually have a Kalar's Complete guide to Otters scheduled for next April ;)

Oh dear Lord. That may be the first product I buy after the three main rulebooks (I'm cheap, OK?). Especially because the mage in my party has an otter familiar, and she's extremely cool. I don't know about undead feral were-otters, but we had the Vampiric Otter Of Doom (TM) !!!!! at one point.

Does anybody else have strange otter-based game stories to tell, or is this just a coincidence?

Oh, and I love otters, they're so cute. And I'm not using the word 'cute' in its normal sense, which means 'bloodthirsty and likely to offend even South Park watchers' (I'm a little twisted).

The Kenzer otter jokes started because of a typo for a message board thread. Instead or typing other stuff they typed otter stuff. Since then it's just snowballed, and the kenzer fans love the inside joke.

And yes the Ring of Otter Control was ment as a joke.

What firm publishes this 'Homebrew' setting?

Has it got anything to do with brewing?

* wonders *

:confused:

Aside from Greyhawk and a half dozen homebrews, I have also run a MERP game (Middle Earth), and sometime in the upcoming months, I intend to run a game in Hyboria.

No Midnight? :(
Oh yea, it hadn't been written when this thread was first posted. Maybe it's time for a new thread, with more choices, and the ability to pick more than one.

I use the old Judges Guild Wilderlands of High Fantasy setting - 24 years and still going strong (admitedly not continously)
