The optimal case for me is similar to what WotC has been describing so far. Every book should be available online in digital format using a code found inside the book. More importantly, this code also makes available revised versions that incorporate errata. For obvious reasons, this code would need to be sealed somehow. I'd even be willing to pay $5 extra for the convenience, but I take exception to the idea of paying full price for a PDF. The only thing I don't like about WotC's current plan is that it seems to require a subscription to D&DInsider, something I'm not sure I really need.
