What GM's sessions would you pay to be part of?

Ed Greenwood - Forgotten Realms
Monte - Arcana Evolved
Shane Helmsley - Deadlands
Gary Gygax - Anything he chose to run.

Thats about it.

None. The idea of paying for a gaming experience is anathema, to me.

Hold that thought; I want to explore it further in a separate thread, which I'll start as soon as I have two seconds to rub together.

Also when time permits I've been meaning to write an essay about professional GMing; not just ethical implications but also practicalities, like different ways people have found to do it. I remember seeing a thread about an EN Worlder who had a paid gig running after-work RPG sessions for a tech company, as a team-building exercise/employee perk. Can anyone point me to that thread?

Are you serious?
Maybe Shadowrun with Mike Stackpole, or Nigel Findlay, or even Mike Mulvihil (especially if he's running Bug City), but Rob Boyle?!?!? I'll pass. YMMV.

More or less, yeah. His name was just the first one of the SR writers that came to mind immediately, and it was late when I posted. *chuckle*

Looking at a few books sitting here near to me, I'd make Boyle interchangeable with Steve Kenson, or Stackpole, and if we go into hypothetical wishing here, Nigel Findlay (though at this point I might scream 'Shedim!' and run screaming. But damn he was brilliant.)

Sepulchrave II--the idea of waxing philosophical during a tabletop session makes me smile

Monte Cook--dude's just got such a rep, I'd have to see what he can do to impress me

Wizardru--while I might not mortgage the house to pay for it, his story hour looks like everyone has a lot of fun

Ghostorb.com has pay-to-play service. If you pass their "GM audition" you can go pro.

Those were the first two names to pop in my head too. There are a few other people I'd want to play with, but I'm not sure if I'd pay them. I'd want to try out their games first before I'd be willing to put money down.

Wow. Thanks, guys...I'm blushing over here.

You know Doc, consider this a standing invitation to come join us for a game. Heck, we could have a day game and the kids could have a play date. :D Sandain, you're welcome to come visit...but it's a bit of drive for you, innit? For the record, the story hour doesn't even do justice to how much fun we have...but we're a wacky bunch.

As for me, I'd gladly drop a little coin to play in one of PC's games; he was fantastic as a player at our table, I'd love to sit at his table and pick up a few tricks (beyond the ones he's already shared). I would be glad to play with EGG or Monte for the some reasons. Add into that Steve Kenson, for Mutants and Masterminds, too. (Note to self: Get that M&M game off the ground, darned it!)

And while I'm on the subject: If you want to game at my table, come to Southern Exposure this year! I'll be there with modules in hand. I'll be posting our annual EN World Gathering thread some time this weekend. Free up your calendars, kids!

Not sure if I would pay to play, although I'd love to be in a game with Monte Cook or Gary Gygax.

I have also particpated in games run by Henry and Rel. Both are excellent GMs with a flare for the craft.

der_Kluge is also fun to game with, although I have only played in the round robin with him, so I do not have a full idea of his style.

Billy Booth: He was my first GM and the guy rocked. I would play in one of his games anytime.
