What happened to Birthright.net?

I just noticed that Birthright.net is gone. Does anyone know what happened? I was an occasional visitor, having started playing in my first Birthright campaign not too long ago (using the 3E rules conversion that they had posted there). I'll be disappointed if it's gone for good.

Does this have anything to do with the release of the 4E books, or is the timing coincidental?

By way of explanation, I got this email:

Hey All,

Something totally unexpected happened. The birthright.net domain expired yesterday. (10 years!!!)

Unfortunately I wasn’t notified about it since the account at directnic wasn’t registered on my name.

I am doing at the moment everything I can to retrieve the account information so I can renew the domain again.

This is pretty hard since I am not the person who created the account 10 years ago.

I already have contacted Sindre cools Berg about this problem.

I have also asked Flip from Athas to link another domain (www.dndworlds.net) which I poses to the birthright forum and files to bridge this situation.

I just get a message saying "Bye Bye" then a redirect to http://69.46.228.34/ which is just place holder site.
