Raven will still give Garl a silver piece, but won't try to bluff him, since he seems to be giving her what she wants.

She bows to Cartran as they leave. "May we meet again." she says with a smile.

OOC: These ships do just sail on water don't they? Or am I displaying Eberron ignorance? Could the ship have landed by Cartran's house?

Garl leads you down underneath the treehouse and under the stilted up level of the city and sure enough there are a half dozen ships parked underneath the city. Garl smiles big toothy smile and says " Where's your ship?" in a very confused manner notices no unaccounted for ships. " Are you really 'Ouse Lyrandar"

OOC: Oh- right! City on stilts. I should have thought of that! The stilts are pretty tall, eh?

IC: "Our pilot has taken our ship to resupply. 'The Flash' will be back shortly. It's a fine ship, 'The Flash,' don't you think?" Raven asks him.

OOC: yeah if youve ever read don bastingwaithes dragon below series they are portrayed as being quite big.

Garl " Oh yeah the flash is a great ship. Shame the Pilot lost it.Sacha was so funny why isnt 'e 'ere"

Raven is shocked by Garl's casual statement. The shifter doesn't seem too bright, but evidently knows some very useful information. She doesn't try to hide her surprise; in fact, she embellishes. "You know about that?" Raven asks, her mouth wide. "This was all supposed to be top secret." She gives him a knowing smile. "It's hard to pull anything over on you, isn't it. You should come work for House Lyrander if Cartran ever stops treating you as well as you deserve!" Raven hands him a gold piece this time.

"You must tell me what you know & how you know it. Lyrander needs to know what has been discovered."

The shifter blushes, after all its not every day a girl compliments him. " well da Pilot's a friend o' Catran's. He lost The Flash to Sacha in a card game before Sacha manifested his mark, you know when he used to be one of Cartran's runner. I betcha dinnae know that!! But Sacha left here a week ago with our latest goodies so for his ship to be back so soon is kinda oot there I was jez wundren where 'e is."

The shifter looks at Raven smiling and putzing around with his foot. He looks at Raven seemingly unsure whether or not to try and touch her hand

"So Sasha used to work for Cartran? He never told me that. And the pilot who lost the Flash in a card game is still the pilot of the ship? It's just like Sasha to hire him back." Raven smiles and nods. "She is a fast one, isn't she, back already after only a week. But that kind of speed is hard on a ship, so we'll give her some time to make repairs and load provisions. You know, Garl, did you actually see Sasha leave last week? From this dock? I must admit, I'm a bit surprised he could make that speed myself. Do you remember if he left right away after getting those shards? And did he make directly for the Zarash bay?"

Garl smiles and says " 'Course I was 'ere. I helped him and his crew load the shards. Then they left right away and went over the swamp to try and circle around into the bay. We was bein' 'unted by sentinel Marshals so he had to escape quick. We done it a thousand times. yekn o most folks wouldn't be smart enough to figure out you could go throw the swamp but tha's our Cartran. Sharper than Shargon's Teeth."

"Cartran's the sharp one! That's why we do business with him instead of that Maxil Lomax!" Raven slaps him on the shoulder. "And you, Garl, you know more than we suspected. But do you also know the route through the swamp that we take?"

Garl Scratches his head" You know, I never did see it now thatcha mention it. But I do know Cartran once told Sacha he couldn't miss it if he were looking."
OOC: Trackers who have so patiently been waiting roll for me Spot on the foliage leaving the undercity dock.

leaving the underground dock you can see a path seeming cut through trees who have been bent seemingly by time, large enough for a ship.[sblock=knowledge nature,geography or survival DC 17]It seems to be leading directly into the swamp in a southwesterly fashion, which is just skew of the Zarash River. In addition, you see the continued flow of the river going in the opposite direction.[/sblock][/sblock]
