Well, my wife and I decorate with action figures, my wife literally wept tears of joy upon recieving her latest Fruits Basket manga, have Cthulhu hanging from our rear-view mirror, topped last year's Christmas tree with Spider-man, and got married in full Renaissance garb. Pick one :D

Does she have a sister, by any chance?

More from me:
I have a mini that I painted sitting on my CPU at work. My desk is also decorated with dragons and fairies and cartoon characters.

I have two minis in my shoulder bag.

My fiancee and I want to get married in costumes - I'm having a dress made to resemble one of the costumes from the LOTR movies, and he wants to wear a pirate greatcoat. He's looking around for a nice leather tricorn hat that doesn't cost a fortune. If I could get all the guests to come in costumes too, I would. :D

My first wedding was done in costume. Half of those attending were members of the SCA.

OK. I have many. Here are some, in brief:
  • Watching a Star Trek episode with my sister, she wondered aloud why sometimes they referred to a warp coil and sometimes to a warp core. I spent some time explaining the difference. In my defence, I don't actually know what a warp coil is supposed to do and I just made the whole thing up, but the fact I was able to do it and sound convincing is, somehow, worse than really knowing.
  • A twenty-minute argument over in-game economics with my DM. It got quite heated. I was adamant he'd made a bad call regarding exchange rates or something, and he wouldn't hear me out. Thing is, neither one of us knows anything about economics. We both felt like such geeks after that.
  • Because I was bored, I decided to 'name' my Players Handbook. I called it Fred. (My 3.5 edition is Fred Jnr). Soon, my entire gaming group were doing it. My DMG is "Son of Billy Bob" and my MM is "Gavin II". Not everybody updated to 3.5 - those who did did what I did and carried on the names. Other names include "Angelina", "Norman", "Clancy", "Fergie" and "Chuck". I wanted my mate to call his books "Vera", "Chuck" and "Dave" but he didn't get the joke.
  • I signed up to a bulletin board where they talk about Role Playing Games. I think it was called EMLand or something. Thank God I got out of that quickly...
  • When I ceased to be President of my gaming group, I changed my name on said bulletin board.
  • When I ceased to be Vice President, I changed my name AGAIN.

I've seen some folks get married in Star Trek uniforms. At a sci-fi convention (but not a Star Trek-specific con).

I own a Star Trek uniform. I've worn it in public, to the grocery store. I had a latex appliance to give me a Bajoran nose ridge, too. And a communicator badge that beeped.

I am such a geek. :uhoh:
