A book on the American Indian Nations circa 1500 would be interesting and I again, don't know of a product that covers the theology/mythology of that genre.
I think the "guy" you refer to might be me, and the campaign you refer to is Septentrionalis. It's actually set about a century before the AWI, but is applicable for any campaign reminiscent of North American between 1500 and 1800, with or without fantasy elements.
I've taken the old PDFs off my web site after rewriting them as a 256-page sourcebook for a d20 publisher (sorry, still no firm publication date yet, perhaps early 2005-- the editing alone on this huge tome is taking quite a long time, and I'm bidding to do the illustrations too). The book is written to be compatible with an existing campaign book from the same publisher about a fantasy version of another real Earth continent, allowing for crossover adventures between the two.
The manuscript features several native American cultures as background options for PCs, with appropriate new spells, new classes of magic items, artifacts, weapons, and so on. It could easily be adapted to play a pre-contact native American campaign.
Now if I may post my own wish list, I have been waiting for ages for someone to do a decent fantasy Napoleonic RPG -- I heard a while ago about a book along those lines called Appolyon Noir (sp?) but don't know if it's d20, or what its current status is. (Anyone know, offhand?)
