What have you stolen lately for your game?

Had my players meet two ghaele eladrins (who became very high-end fey, rather than celestials, IMC) named Oberon and Titania.

When I steal, I'm obvious about it :)

Wouldn't mind seeing those stats

I have liberally stolen from such things as V for Vendetta, Matrix, Silent Hill, Willow, and most recently The Illusionist

Also I have liberally taken ideas from such novels as those below:

Mystic Rider, by Sharon Shinn
Rhapsody, Prophecy, and Destiny by Elizabeth Haydon
Destiny's Road Larry Niven
Glory Season by David Brinn
Shardik, and Maia by Richard Adams

I had a plot where Oberon and Titania were going undercover as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny to survive the rise of Christianity in Arthurian England.

In my younger days, I had two NPC monks based off of Bert and Ernie.

While never having read Conan, I hear a lot about it here on En World. Y'know, evil cultists worshipping evil snake gods et al. Since my current game is in Hlondeth (the City of Serpents) ;);)) in Faerun, and will be centered there for a good half of my campaign (levels 3-11 or so; we're on level 4). I'm making the aristocracy of Hlondeth an elitist bunch who rule through fear, intimidation, and silent killings in the night.

The players are simply *freaked* out by snakes and an assassination organization with a snake holding a ruby in it's maw right now, so I know I'm doing my job well :D

cheers,

I stole a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean 2. The PCs had to rescue a man in a cage hanging from a rope underneath a bridge over a 200' chasm. Then the reptilians came and started hucking spears. Good times:)

I am borrowing an image from a FR book for use in my Eberron campaign.

I had the equilivant of a Githyanki "Predator" that was to hunt the group in Xen'drik.

In Darksun I had a blonde halfling named Calvin with a Tigonne (green psionic tiger) named Hobbes.

In an upcoming adventure I have planned, there is a scene with a velociraptor. I intend on pretty much stealing every scene from Jurassic Park ever written.

To be a little bit tasteless, in the current Savage Tide game, there's a scene where the PCs find a body that's been killed by a critter near the sea. I'm changing the body to make it into that of a man wearing khaki shorts, a khaki vest, with a stingray barb in his chest. Crikey!
