Throughout the time I've spent on these boards I've read mostly d20 related posts, sometimes reading the TV and movie section and so on. Every once in a while though someone posted something completely unrelated to gaming whch I thought was really clever. I'd like to know if you've seen any particularly good qoute, something you might, or have, put in your sig. I really only want serious qoutes though. Nothing game related or silly.

One good one which I remember is this: Someone was talking about a football player (I think) that he didn't like and what he did that was annoying. After a while ,I think it was Morrus, wrote " Even though I don't know who (whatever the guys name was) is, I now truly dispise him. That is the power of the internet" I thought that was really good.

It's a classic, but I've always been partial to Lost Soul's Hemingway quote:
"If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."
-- Ernest Hemingway, "A Farewell to Arms"

Actually, it was from the D&D Mini's forum, but I've applied it to D&D during my games. (Paraphrasing):

"If you have to ARGUE your interpretation of the rule, then that's probably not the intent of the original rule as written."

And that's what I tell my players. And then I say, "Sorry - you can't do that."

"The world is big enough for the two of us, I just don't like to share."
"Say hello to disco."

"The DM is always right cause he puts in all the time."

"Always expect to lose two hours of the session the first time the players encounter Changeling hookers." - Me
