WotC What is "D&D Direct"?

Is this a new initiative or something? WotC social media just sent out a teaser about something called "D&D Direct" with a link to this webpage on the WotC D&D site. There will be some sort of announcement event one week from today, apparently.

A "Direct" is a corporate info dump video. The Nintendo Direct series is the most famous of these.
