D&D 5E (2014) What is one hp of damage in real life?

Shower thought: If a human commoner has 4 hp, 1 hp is 25% of the total hp. Doesn't sound like a papercut now huh.

I have three paper cuts on my hand right now. I better not get a 4th or it could kill me!!!

I'd say getting punched in the shoulder and bruised, with some linger pain but no long-term damage. Feels better the next day.
