Yeah, I read that interview this afternoon.

So Shadow has to partly sacrifice themselves to gain power. A bit opposite of Primal, which is just bursting with life as a side effect of their connection to that power source.

Hmm. Interesting concept.

Divine = White
Arcane = Blue
Shadow = Black
Martial = Red
Primal = Green

I think it works pretty well. Allied colors have some conceptual synergy, and except for white/red opposing colors have some conceptual dissonance.
