Of Sound Mind

is the best I've seen so far. Mr. Kulp got everything right with this one.

Anyone know when OSM 2 is coming out?

Banewarrens is a nice mix of intrigue and dingeoncrawling. Just happens to be the right composition for our group.

I liked RttToEE too. I liked the vastness of the adventure.

My personal favorite, as a DM, has to be Forge of Fury as well, simply because I kind of consider it the perfect standard dungeon. It hits all the classic cliches:

Spoilers Ahead!

-Orc stronghold on the front
-Creepy subterranean tunnels
(with a nice waterfall)
-A few undead, and of course
-A dragon on a horde of gold

It's a wonderful introductory module for just getting the "feel" of what D&D could be.
Now here's the embarrasing thing: I haven't actually run the module. So I can't testify.

The funnest module I have played (and actually I've played a fair number) was Rappan Athuk, which had lots of great flavor, and which we ran kind of as a player-killer dungeon - everyone came to the table with at least 3 PCs ready, and we really had a fun sense of humor about it. It does have some gaps, though, and I had to download a side-view of the entire dungeon that someone had made, because it was so complicated.

3E: Vault of Larin Karr, The Grey Citadel, The Spear of Loghin, Freeport series

Non-3E: Festival of the Damned (Ars Magica), Complete Masks of Nyarthalotep (CoC), Beyond the Mountains of Madness (CoC), the Enemy Within Campaign (Warhammer FRP)

Of all those, Festival of the Damned has impressed me the most of any adventure out there. It has it all, in-depth roleplaying, investigation, combat, extremely detailed subplots and NPCs, and moral dilemmas. If you haven't checked it out, I'd recommend it. Its also pretty easy to convert over the 3E.
