What is the equation?

I'm sitting here at work trying to remember the eqation for Permanancy..... I know ther is a pattern to the progression I just can't figure it out from memory.... could someone please help me?

There really isn't a pattern, there is a list of spells which can be made permenant and thats it. Anything else is up to the DM.

The psionic power "Incarnate" can be used on any power. Maybe thats what your thinking of, i think I'm not sure on its formula offhand though.

I'm pretty sure it is 500 XP * level. Of course, why protection from arrows is 1500 XP and not 1000 XP doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but that seems to be the general formula.

I think 0-level spells just count for half, as typical,

Wait a minute. It doesn't look that way at all. Check it out.

For spells that you can put on yourself, it's 500XP per level, starting at lvl 1, with lvl 0 being 250XP...

For spells that you can put on yourself, another creature, or an object, it's 500XP per level, starting at lvl 1, with lvl 0 being 250XP...

For spells that can be cast on objects or areas only, it's 500XP per level, starting at lvl 0 and lvl 1.
