D&D 5E What is the logic behind one 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th level spell?

we got together on an off night. to make characters would have taken too long, and it wasn't a full group it was people free. SO I couldn't do 4 eg made characters...

I understand the practicalities of it all, time for roleplaying being so restricted and to be able to have people available for a scenario just to test out the math - not that one test is enough to draw on exclusively to make claims but it is a start. I appreciate the time you and your group took to do this exercise.

As someone who is running two 15th lvl games, I'll agree that mid-level spells remain both relevant and effective. We haven't found the limitation to be a problem.

Did you start at 1st level? If so, that's impressive that you've made it to 15th level already.
