I haven't yet seen any really plausible ideas for one. As far as I know, Arcane is the only source with all 4 roles in announced products (Swordmage, Bard, Warlock, Wizard). The Invoker is supposed to be a Divine Controller, so Divine is just missing Striker (I think). Primal has a Striker and Controller (Barbarian & Druid), but I don't know of any other Primal Roles.

I'd say it's probably better to build a class from a strong Archtypical Ideal and find it's natural role rather than try to create something to fit a slot in a role/source grid.

I believe that the Avenger (coming in the PHBII) is a divine striker, but I don't know about that for certain. Also, Primal is probably going to be getting a defender (Warden) and leader (Shaman) in the PHBII as well.

The devs seem to be making an effort to fill each of the roles within each power source. But yeah, a martial controller is a bit difficult to figure out, so that's probably why one hasn't turned up yet. The Druid promises to have some controllery melee abilities, so maybe that will lead to a melee controller for the martial crowd? Who knows?

That's all accurate, but don't forget that Arcane is already planning to double-up on Controller (Sorcerer) and Leader (Artificer).

Primal and Divine are currently pacing to each have every role by PH2. Divine has the Avenger (speculated to be a Striker), while Primal has the Warden (speculated to be a Defender) and the Shaman (all but confirmed to be a Leader).

I don't expect to see any genuine Martial Controllers, either. All the ideas that get tossed around are either not really Controllers, not really Martial, or are ultimately just one-trick ponies (usually based around some exotic weaponry, which makes it less a Martial power than an item power).

I completely agree, Intrope!

For Martial Controller:

Erickson's Malazan Sappers. That's the best idea in source fiction for a martial controller that I've seen. I've seen fan creations based on that idea that seemed pretty viable, but the one I knew about on these boards I can't find anymore. I'll email the author and see if I can't dredge up a link.
