What is the toughest printed creature?

What is the toughest printed WotC 3.0/3.5E creature? Is it one of the gods? or is there something in the Epic handbook?

Need to know to get my players' undies in a bunch.

Thanks!

The hundred-handed horror (Hecatoncheires) in the Epic Level Handbook is one mean critter. I tremble in fear of the thing and I'm the DM! :) A tarrasque is so cliche, anyway...

Take anything powerful, and stick on a template like some of the very powerful ones from Frilf's Deluxe Book of Templates. That will make anything scarey.

But without using those, I'd say the dieties in Dieties and Demigods.

There was one monster in the Epic Level book (Which I dont have in front of me) that basicly was an aborted god. It was really nasty. Perhaps someone can help out who has the book? I think it began with an A. Not sure. But after reading the stats and powers, a veteran group of role players shuddered at the prospect of facing it.

I think Thor would get his butt handed to him by a Hecatoncheires.

That said, while the atropal doesn't have the swordapalooza of attacks the hecaton has, it's maybe even more disgustingly overpowered in every other way.

An atropal has a CR of 30, you can see it in the srd's epic monsters section.

Iblis a fallen solar in Green Ronin's Book of Fiends has a CR of 40.

I think the Cthulhu pantheon from d20 Call of Cthulhu has some of the toughest critters from what I have heard but I don't have it.

Does DDG list their CRs?

Nothing says love like a Xixecal...
