I think he's so happy cause:
His polio meds are finally working and he can now use his thumbs to thier fullest.
He just found an old crate of his favorite gaming material in a junk store in perfect condition for a buck. (I had that fantasy for a long time with MTG cards ... finding a booster box of Beta in some backwater store ... purrrrrrrrrrr .... Beta).
