What is this? Name that mini!

OK, so now that I'm back into painting minis, I've been working on some for a couple friends of mine--they host the weekly game. While both had tons of old 1st and 2nd ed minis, when WotC started to release their pre-painted figures, the old stuff was pushed aside. So, all these minis that had been started were never finished, and others weren't even primered. So, preamble done.
I came across one mini in their collection of a monster I didn't recognize. Neither did they. Couldn't find it in any of the 1st ed monster manuals/fiend folio/etc. Looks like a slug trying to disguise itself as a beholder. That's how I painted it. Anyone know what it is?

Sorry for the blurry photos.

I remember having that miniature as a kid. I suspect it is simply a giant slug.

Edit: It could also be a carrion crawler.

Ok, sorry for the long delay--had to deal with work and a ton of other stuff. A friend moved out of town and gave me all his old gaming books to post on eBay. Lots and lots of stuff: 4+ boxes. Found to loose maps that I don't know where they belong. Could be Greyhawk, or Dragonlance/Krynn or something else entirely. Anyone know what world has Oljatt Sea, Sea of Gearnat, Densak Gulf, Theocrasy of the Pale, Idee, Ratik, Kingdom of Keoland, Lake Quag, Duchy of Ulek, and Califate of Ekbir?

Definitely Greyhawk.

i believe it's from the Grendairer set, Horrors/Terrors of the Swamp.

Denizens of the Swamp? I had that one, but don't remember that miniature in the set. There was a basilisk and a snake I think.

If I remember correctly the snail-esque miniature is huge. I remember it being a huge, 3 or 4 inch long chunk of lead.

OK, so I finally have new photos to show. I think this came with one of the 'ancient' 1970s Grenadier weird monster packs.

So, anyone got any ideas what this thing is?
