Pathfinder 1E What is up with Paizo?!?!?

I have had some major problems with their customer service myself. I am afraid you'll only solve them by calling up Paizo directly (in my case, 3 times).

Super, so in addition to a bagload of missing issues I need to pay for an international call or 3.

*sigh* Thanks for the number guys.

I've also had nothing but problems with my subscription. And e-mails remain unanswered.

Thanks for posting the number. I'll try that later today.

I also am having problems with my international subscription to Dungeon and Dragon. I did manage to get all my missing back copies sent to me but my subscription has not resumed since then, so now I am again missing the latest issues of Dragon and Dungeon.

The person at paizo who sent me my back copies was

jeff.alvarez@paizo.com

I'm ambivalent

I just recently dealt with Jeff, and he tried his best to help me, being curteous and polite, and also quick to respond to my inquiries.

There seems to be some problems still with distribution, but my feeling is that they are working hard to resolve the problems.

Even so, me and Paizo agreed that I should probably try to pick the mags of the racks here in Sweden, which works for me. Too bad I'll miss the subscriber content.

All in all, I'm unhappy subscribing didn't work out, but I'm happy with the response and service from Dungeon staff.

Cheers!

Short n' Sweet: Paizo = teh suck.

But don't say that too loudly around here, too many people at ENworld have friends at Paizo and don't like it when you insult them and their career.

Well, I am sorry that some of you guys are having a bad experience with Paizo, but personally my experience is great. The only problem I have ever had with delivery is crushed magazines- the Post Office at "work", not Paizo- and two missed issues when I was mid-move. I sent an e-mail to customer service, got a return message right away, and recieved replacement magazines within a week or so.

It sounds to me like there might be more problems with the international delivery. That will not solve your problem, but you should be aware that it is not a problem everywhere.

You're right. You shouldn't say that too loudly around here. In fact, you shouldn't say that at all.

If you have a specific complaint, state it. Just saying that Paizo sucks isn't constructive, and it isn't polite, especially since Erik Mona, among others, is known to visit this board.

I don't know anyone at Paizo. I'm jumping in to defend them because I think they've earned some respect.

Paizo customer service was great to me. I recieved a mangled issue, called the number listed on the title page, and received a replacment in a few days along with a free copy of their new mag, Undefeated, an unexpected bonus. :)

I'll tell what I think the problem is. I don't think Paizo has enough employees. When Paizo broke from WotC, they took a lot of the creative staff: the editors, the art directors, etc. They did not, however, take the people who did the "grunt work." WotC kept all of the distribution people and guys like that.

Why do I think that? Read above. When LcKedovan called Paizo to resolve his distribution problem, he said he got Eric Mona. The editor of the magazine shouldn't be handling these kinds of problems. Also, a few months back when people were complaining about the lack of updated website info, it was (again) Eric Mona who said that he was in charge of the website and didn't really have much time to do it.

Now, if the magazine editor is also the webmaster and also the guy to go to about distribution problems then that means that Paizo has a serious employee shortage.

Just my guess,
