I enjoy smiting halflings (and any halfling players) and in the end razzing the group.... well most of it. A few people I won't mess with... but the rest are fair game.

My favorite part of gaming has nothing to do with combat. Its all about personal interaction and the cool plot stuff the GM tosses at us.

Heck my character is getting married soon (as long as she doesn't get killed first). We will take half a game session to play cards in character, etc.

I'm stunned that "killing people and taking their stuff" is doing so badly. For me, it was a very tough choice between that and "intrigue." Don't be ashamed: I think what most people look for in RPGs is elaborate and entertaining context and justification for killing people and taking their stuff.

It's kind of like David Lynch's Mulholland Drive; people might enjoy the plot, symbolism, etc. but that's all set-up to make the soft-core porn more enjoyable. We might be deliberately indulging ourselves in means-ends confusion so we look like smarter, better, more sophisticated people.

Yep. I should have selected "killing people and taking their stuff." While it's true I can't really enjoy it without the intrigue and complex motivations leading up to it, that's also true of my appreciation of the pornographic.

I took "War, as Leader", but it's entirely speculative as no one has ever run this kind of game for me (Though it is the kind of game I usually run).

I didn't see a "Bullying and Threatening NPC's"...I would've voted for that, as it is really my favorite part of any game I play.

Covert Ops! Combines "Intrigue" with stealth and, on not uncommon occasions, killing things and taking their stuff.

Give it up Nine Hands! You're all about killing people and taking their stuff!

Oh wait, that's when you're DMing... ;)
