I'd have to go with Book of the Righteous. Even if you only use bits and pieces of it, the sheer amount of info is worth every penny. And the "Holy Warrior" class is the paladin done right!!

I agree. And what's super cool about BoTR is how is how other GR books fit right into it, even though none of them are co-dependent. Legions of Hell, Armies of the Abyss, and the Avatar's Handbook all work so well with BotR, and presumably the Unholy Warrior's Handbook will too.

Oriental Adventures. I *love* what they did with that book.

For modules, it's probably Tomb of Abysthor (Necro. Games).

I loved Oriental Adventures. Likewise Call of Cthulhu. Monsternomicon gets two big thumbs way up.

And one weird, wacky vote for "Touched By The Gods: A Sourcebook of Cults and Cabals" for lots of cool ideas.

For my home campaign, it's a tie between the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and d20 Modern.
For the purposes of writing professionally, I have to say Mercenaries and Oathbound. :)

Mongoose's "Demonology"

Best capture of the literary/mythological concept in game terms.
Later Arcane sourcebooks were such downers after this and the "Necromancy"

The Monsternomicon is my favorite, I think. I won't bother to explain why because there is a whole thread about that book a few pages back...

Now I'm just waiting for the Iron Kingdoms Campaign Guide...

Another one for AEG

Swashbuckling Adventures.

Not because of the rules. There are books with better editing and implementation.

But it's my favourite book because of the "swashbuckling" bit. And the "adventures" bit.

And as an honorable mention, "Skull&Bones" from Green Ronin. That book will most likely rock my world, I'm really really looking forward to it.

I also like Freeport - the City of Adventure.

Hmmm... there's a pattern in there somewhere... :D

It's gotta be the DMG. There's just so much useful stuff in there, for players and DMs alike.

Players can compare themselves to the NPC characters to tell whether they're about the right power level, DMs can do the same. It's got basically everything you need as a DM, and I've no complaints with it at all.
