What is YOUR favorite Film/Series music/Soundtrack?

The Lotr trilogy by Howard Shore was the first soundtrack Ive bought in a long time. Got all 3.

The soundtrack to the Stanley Kubrick film Barry Lyndon is a favorite. Somewhat hard to find, but great mood music-Irish, The Chieftains, Handel, shubert, and Mozart. Very atmospheric.

Conan the Barbarian/Destroyer. Absolutely my favorite soudtracks. After those, I'd say a tie between the Star Wars trilogy and Earth: Final Conflict. Batman Beyond is also pretty good.

I'm a big fan of Danny Elfman, and loved the music from Edward Scissorhands probably the most of all his soundtracks...

And, Danzig, I dig your icon. Word to your mother.

Puh-lease! You all are listing far inferior sound tracks. :)

The best soundtrack is obviously Maximum Overdrive!!!

And maybe one of the best movies too. ;)

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite. I can probably hum every piece by heart. I may be biased, being as that was the first soundtrack (or music) I ever owned. My parents bought it for me on 8-track. Oh...man do I feel old.

The Return of the King is pretty sweet as well. The Billy Boyd song is awesome, and Annie Lennox's "Into the West" is superb.

Christopher Young - Hellraiser & Hellbound: Hellraiser II

If you're doing a horror-themed RPG campaign, your players will need a change of underwear when you play "The Lament Configuration." :D

Black Hawk Down & Gladiator have already been mentioned. However, Last of the Mohicans stands out as one of my favorites as well.

Psst...I mentioned Last of the Mohicans as well. ;)

I second this. The Conan soundtracks are most excellent, and they make great gaming music as well.

Other soundtracks that deserve mention are Last of the Mohicans, Lord of the Rings, Dune, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Dragonheart, and Gladiator.
