What is your favorite Indiana Jones movie?

he original screamed pulp adventure, and covered the second-greatest quest of European Culture - the Ark of the Covenant.

Was the Ark of the Covenant in fact a 'great quest' refered to in literature before the film RotLA? Certainly, the Quest for the Holy Grail is imbedded in literature, but I can't think of any references to searching for the Ark.

Before the film, wouldn't the phrase 'Lost Ark' have been understood to mean Noah's Arc?

I'm baffled as to how anyone could possibly choose Crusade over Raiders.

Anyone care to fill me in?

Crusade was a derivative, tired mess compared to the original.

Agreed.

Actually, I have a hard time choosing whether Temple of Doom or the Last Crusade is better.

Raider's of the Lost Ark is hands down the best.

If Indiana Jones and hte Last Crusade has been released as a standalone it would never have become the classic Raiders is.
