Gah!!

Believe it or not I have not even opened my trilogy boxed set yet even thought I bought it the day it was released. I shan't vote until I watch them all again. It's been too long and I don't want to default to Raiders... :)
When you get done watching the movies, I highly recommend watching the documentries on the Special Features disc. Seeing how all three Indiana Jones movies were made is extremely interesting. :)

Not to mention that watching the DVDs has made me realize that Temple of Doom isn't as bad as it's sometimes made out to be. Granted, it's the weakest of the trilogy, but it's still not a bad movie by any means.

And don't forget the great musical score from the first movie... If there is any better music for a pulp era action RPG then I don't know of it. :)

The first was the best, and I have lost track of the number of times I have watched it. The second was pretty darned week, but the third was decent.

Really? Watching it right after Raiders made it look far worse than I remembered. Holy heck, was Kate Capshaw's character annoying!

Raiders, still the best. Running from the boulder...riding the statue down through the wall...when he shows up on the horse to chase the trucks and the Indy theme starts to play..."We've got top men working on it." "Who?" "Top men."

While I loved Last Crusade, Raiders of the Lost Ark is still my fave -- it started it all, it had The Rock, and it just felt great beginning to end. Yep, the beginning is the best :)

Last Crusade, for me, was both a good, solid film and an apology for Temple of Doom...

I felt similar to DJ, after watching it again it didn't seem so bad.

I haven't voted myself because I can't decide between the first and third movies. Maybe I should have a contest and watch them again.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 5 7.69%
They choose poorly....

:p

In all seriousness as much as I love crusade the first one is just a classic. Why I'm not sure but when I watch it I'm always waiting for that next part even though I know it's coming and I don’t feel that for the other movies in the series or I feel it to a lesser extent...

I would be interested in seeing a poll bases on which movie had the best opening.

I noticed that too rewatching it recently; in the ways I remembered, it wasn't as bad as I thought (Kate Capshaw wasn't as annoying as I remembered). In some other ways that I hadn't noticed at all, though, it was worse (some of the fight scenes were especially silly, and slow. Although maybe I've been spoiled by the more high-octane action of today's movies here.)

All in all, it wasn't a bad movie, but it had a few weak spots, and the plot wasn't nearly as believable nor as tight as the first one.
