I love soup.

Cream of Mushroom, Cream of Jalapeno, French Onion, Tomato (basic), Hot & Sour, Clam Chowder (Chowdah?)- white only, plz, and Bisque (Lobster, Crab or Crawfish) are among my faves.

However, #1 on my list has to be Gumbo...and lucky me, I know how to cook it!

Mmm, mayo. I love Best Foods (what they call Hellman's this side of the rockies). Probably not good to have that in your blood stream, though.

As for soup, I guess I'm not really a soup person. I'll eat it, but I can't find any good soup. I used a local soup mix, called Bear Creek. It was a Tortilla Bean soup. The soup turned out to be consistency of a dip, which I didn't care for.

Store bought: Campbells Butternut Squash Soup. I thought it sounded weird and decided to try it. It is yummy!

Homemade: I make a wickedly good lentil soup. :)

Have you tried any store bought lobster bisque soups that were any good? They only one I tried was NASTY! I like it to be nice and creamy with a few pieces of lobster and no other chunks of anything! Oh, and not too strong of a "tomato soup" taste. :D

Does Udon count as soup? Cause if it does, I'm gonna say either Kitsune Udon or Pho.

Yum yum yum. . . Aw man, you made me hungry. I have to agree with you on this one, with miso soup right up there with them.

BTW, I absolutely love the fact that we are having a discussion about soup. :p

I think my favorite soup would have to be - if it counts as soup - my father's beef stew. It's not winter if we haven't had his beef stew at least once.

Miso soup is high up there. Never tried chowda, but that's because of a milk allergy.

Soup...wait, that's that weird drink you throw food in right?

Awayfarer has a religious objection to soup. Which means if I'm ever going to make a pot of beef stew here in our apartment I'm going to end up eating the whole thing myself. :p

Doh!

Wonton Soup. One of my favorites, best at a little hole in wall where you can order in Chinese. won ton mien for the win. I like shrimp and pork stuffed wontons.
