BTW, I love my stick blender. I got one for Christmas and now blending soup does not suck.
We had the mushroom bisque. It was pretty good, but also pretty expensive. Good mushrooms are not cheap and this recipe had a pound of them in it!
I used the left over mushrooms in ramen the other night. I love making ramen with leftovers: saute shrooms in sesame oil, boil 2 cups of chicken stock and add red pepper flakes, chopped green onions, shrooms and ramen noodles. Boil until noodles are soft. Throw ramen spice packet in the trash. Slurp the soup while your four-year-old laughs.
