I really do like the Slitherin....
I have two, Gorgons (because the PCs don't know about high gorgons) and hags.
Especially now that hags are a template.....

Indeed! :) *can't wait for hag template* Half-hags should be fun too! ;)

Slitheren, Sutak (cause I'm running a Hollowfaust campaign) and of course the Gorgons. But also think the Veritgen are cool as well. Ioun Beholder also rocks. :)

when I said slithern I ment as a DM. when I read vertigen my first thought was I want to play one!:D
Gotta admit that the hags and gorgons are tight too.

I meant that as well. :) I love to DM them. I'd love to run them. (Course it's probably harder with the Gorgons and the Hags than the other two) Ioun Beholders though make GREAT adverseries, especially if you send them into Larloch's lair! ;)

I ran accross a "mini" beholder I think it was on the creature catalog. they are not evil. I plan to use one just to mess with the heads of the players. they have all been playing SOOOO long enough to know what a beholder is. It will be interesting to see if my rogue/sorc says it has rights or attacks it on sight!

I would have to second the vote on the Vertigen. I am a bit dissapointed that they follow the "elf by any other name" disease. Mine have eyes that look like a swirling mass of red and black. They also effect other members of thier own species with the Vertigo Sickness so they are never comfortable with anyone, endlessly looking to fullfil thier purpous thier creator had but never told them.

I don't think I'm gona have them effect their own species. just as dragons are imune to their onw species breath weapon.

You would say that Sul. ;)

But seriously, I don't see Vertigen as being like elves. They may be lithe and pointed eared, but I see them as being more intelligent and skillful rogues than woody. Plus they favor sorcery in their arcane magics, not wizard.

Btw I'm sure your characters will be in for a surprise then when they encounter an active ioun beholder. They rock.

Oh and let's not forget Slacerian Dragons! :) Krusty would never forgive me. Them and Iron Devils make for some wonderful encounters! :)
