I would have to second the vote on the Vertigen. I am a bit dissapointed that they follow the "elf by any other name" disease. Mine have eyes that look like a swirling mass of red and black. They also effect other members of thier own species with the Vertigo Sickness so they are never comfortable with anyone, endlessly looking to fullfil thier purpous thier creator had but never told them.

I agree, I would have prefered a more interesting/original appearance.
I -love- the they effect their own race and so are never comfortable thing... it's snazzy.
(I'm putting a post-it note in my creature collection now).

High Gorgons. Cool abilities, sinister plots and plans. Can't wait until my characters get into level range to potentially go up against one.

Slitheren are cool, as I used to go against Skaven lots in Warhammer FRP. And I like the Pisceans, although they are a bit high-powered for my tastes.

When I originally wrote the Vertigen up they affected anyone that was in range that failed thier save. Sword and Sorcery Studios changed them a good deal but I'm cool with that. They made them into a more P.C. friendly race, where as it would be very difficult indeed to play one the way I had it.
On the topic of titan spawn. In geneal, do you Scarred Lands fans like the darker Titanspawn. I think that the loss of thier creators makes the Titanspawn inheirently tragic.
I come to this conlusion by the fact that the only things I created for the SSS books that have recieved any mention outside of my own on these boards have been the Vertigen and Wicked's Edge. Both of which I feel or pretty dark ideas.
I just want a little input before I dedicate my attentions to the Creature Collection 3 open call.
Just a disclaimer, I had nothing to do with the "Twelve Blades of Vode Nulan" in Relics and Rituals 2. I sat that one out. I can say that I am extraordinariliy happy with them though.

Can't do better than the originals, THE GODS THEMSELVES. Much as they deny it they are the first titanspawn. I'm looking forward to fully reading through the Divine and the Defeated one of these days, much better fleshing out of backgrounds than DDG.

Well thanks for the creation of Vode Nulan and Wicked's Edge man. :) Definately one of my favorites from the Black Book. (Btw can't wait to see what else you come with). I was curious if they did the same guy...but I had a feeling it might have been Dave or one of the other freelancers.

I would like to see more CR 2-6 creatures
