What is your favorite TITANSPAWN

Thanks BigFreekinGoblinoid, I thought they were perhaps humans tainted with the essence of fallen Titans or something. Maybe I should check out the Scarred Lands setting

Well some can be that Horus. :) Just that they have to drink of "titans' blood". I would like to clarify one point gods=titans. While there are similiarities, titans cannot grant spells, nor do they have any spiritual ties to their "worshippers". While they are god like in nature, (in terms of probably having Alter Reality for starters), the Titans are more like powerful nature spirits with the ability to reshape reality, the lands and creatures on mere whims. As BFG pointed out, many are monsters, but even the gods themselves can be considered "titanspawn". While it can be a dividing line between "good" and "evil", it still a blurry one since there are some divine races, (such as those humans that follow Chardun the LE god of Slavery, domination and warfare), would be considered evil but can work with other "good" races to protect against "titanspawn."

Holy Bov, I'm sure Kwalish is just relishing his latest kills. ;)

I don't mean to correct our most learned sage but I also don't want folks to get the wrong impression either.

Sorry Noightfall but I don't feel that is exactly right. The Titans are more like the choatic elemental forces OF nature, the force itself then like nature sprits. They have a physical form but are much more fundimentally basic then the gods. its true they cannot grant cleric spells, they do however ALL grant druidic spells to their priests who are all universialy druids. (as might be expected the earth mother titan Denev grants dridic spells but surprisingly so does Mesos titan of sorcery) so to call the Titans nature sprits I feel will cause a misconception. I hope that my own poor attempt has clairified the situation. perhaps I should have started the thread with a brief explination of what Titanspawn were

I tend to agree with San, Ive never really thought of any of the Titans as evil, not even Mormo. They were just completely indifferent to other points of view, and they couldnt empathise with their creations. (exception, Golthain. Looked what happened to him)
The fact that they seemed to have their favourites is misleading aswell, they favoured those that best suited the needs of the Titan at the time.
They are Forces of Nature, and as such Scarn is weakened because they are to some extent gone from it. It was very lucky on the planets part that Denev, the Earth Mother decided to join up with the Gods else Scarn may well have been destroyed completely.

Well I do appreciate San slight correction, but I don't believe I ever said that the Titans were quantifible by alignment standards. (At least not all of them. Denev is certainly very neutral) What I will say is that when I said "nature spirits" I was using it in a loose fashion. Certainly they are more than that, as they are an intergral part of Scarn. I guess perhaps I should have used "forces of nature" or "of the planet" but I guess I felt such a saying tends to be overused.

And it's not your fault San. :) Some people just don't know the Scarred lands.

Gorgons, Blood Reapers, Vertigen(although since I play in a homebrewed world, the Vertigen are a bit different in flavor text), and Slitheren(not that greasy little blonde kid from the HArry Potter movies; the rat people, who've also made their ways into my campaign world).

I just didn't want any of the newbies to Scarn to get the wrong idea. when I think of sprits I tend to think "disembodied" ang ghostlike. the Titans are SO much MORE then that. As far as the alignments I never brought that up. The forces of nature are wild and chaotic and that is what I was thing to get accross. I just didnt want folks to get the wrong idea about "nature sprits":p

Besides, even the work of the most renowned sage in the scarred lands is picked appart and debated. you should be flattered:rolleyes: look how many people viewed the sight and didn't catch the mistake (its really one more of wording than anything else, I knew what you ment but I also saw how it could be misrepresenting to someone without you vast knowlede);)

Durn, and I wasted all that time writing up spell lists for those druids...

:p

Anyway, Slitheren rock, though I have taken a shine to Tempus Twins of late...

I brought up alignment because, as a result of their spawns actions, the Titans (even Denev to some degree) are considered Evil.
You talk about Mormo, you think Evil. Kadum, Evil. And so on. Maybe I am mistaken, but I have had to correct myself a few times from harbouring the stereotype.
I know this is off topic and I apologise. My favourite random encounters are the Hornsaw Unicorns. Those suckers took out a lvl 7 fighter and a lvl 7 Paladin in one round :D

Yeah that time jumping they do makes for interesting combats.

*smirks at the Kid* Next time, go Mithril Knight. You can turn titanspawn easier that way. ;)

*also loves dem Unicorns*

And San thanks, I do appreciate the criticisms...if that means I'm popular. ;)
