Dual wielding battle-axes. Just ask Vangal if you wonder why.

Course my paladin side enjoys a good longsword BUT battle-axes for the carnage lover in me.

Re: the Heavy Flail, could someone remind me what the advantages are with this weapon when it comes to tripping and disarming. Does the flail get +'s on the die roll or something?

Quick survey:
Is a Heavy Flail the kind of weapon a Paladin would use?

+2 on attempts to disarm (including the opposed roll to avoid being disarmed if you fail your disarming attempt); if you use it to make trip attempts, you can drop the weapon to avoid being tripped in turn.

Why not?

Bastard sword.

A versatile and powerful weapon. From the look of its design, Aragorn's sword in LofR:FotR was a Bastard sword (possibly based on a 15th century German hand-and-a-half sword).

The greataxe! I love the chance to roll high with a d12 and I conviently forget that it also rolls low. :)

And I have a really awesome mini with a greataxe and that way I get to use him...
