What is your Power source if you multi?

So if my martial defender, say, a FTR picks up some wizard tricks, does his power source also "multi-class"?

How does the fluff work?

I'd almost guarantee he simply adds another power source and that's that.

Shooting martially powered scorching blasts would be a hard fit fluff-wise.

All the power descriptions we've seen have the power source keyword... so I'd say you are just using whatever power source applies to the power you're using.

This is really just the same as in 3e.

You're a cleric (divine magic) and multiclass with wizard (arcane magic). What's his powersource? Both. Obviously.

People don't have power sources...powers do. By extension classes do because classes are largely defined by their powers. Fighters and rogues draw from the martial power source to master their exploits.

A fighter with who multiclasses to warlock is a fighter and a warlock and has thus learned to draw from both the martial power source as well as the arcane power source.

I think the answer is: Steve ... yea if you multiclass anyone named Steve is your new power source.

Anyways I'm not sure this has been addressed as of yet. I'm really anxious about reading the new books and want to know the same answer!

A wizard taking a fighter feat could cast a split-second spell that strengthens her muscles enough to pull of the fighter power. A fighter could take a wizard feat, allowing him to make maneuvers while in combat that mimic the somatic components of the spell.

Obviously not going to happen, but I think it would be cool to describe NPC actions.
